- What inspired you to get into the animal care field, inspirations, and/or heart-warming job (or animal related) experience?
- Animals have been my life, therapy and support. I started volunteering as a young girl, at the shelter and I have been working with animals ever since.
- If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would it be and why?
- It’s a tie between a Komodo dragon and a Galápagos Giant Tortoise. I love the scaly ones, but those two, to me, represent regal dignity and I am obsessed with both.
- Do you currently have any pets? If so, what are their names and what is your favorite thing about them?
- I have 3 pets: Reginald Archibald Fitzgerald Smith the First (“Fitz”), Franklin Delanora Roosevelt Smith (“Frankie”), and Salem. Fitz sings, Frankie is my everything, and Salem is my love bug. I could talk all day about them.
- What do you find most rewarding about working with animals?
- Animals truly appreciate what we do for them, and being able to help them makes everything worth it!
- What causes are you most passionate about?
- Supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, for reasons that are very personal and private.
